Future ShockFuture Shock by Elizabeth Briggs
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Disclaimer: This book was provided from the publisher for my honest Review!

This is a story of what ifs and what was, and it touched my heart from the very beginning. The main charter has her flaws. But i truly enjoyed that aspect of this book so many ya books have that perfect main charter that every thing works out in life for them. I went into this book only knowing what the description said about it and I think is the best way to go into it. I loved the mystery of what was going on in it. I would recommend this to anyone and every one, and i also look forward to continuing this series.

Rebel Belle (Rebel Belle, #1)Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is the story of a southern belle; a high school junior always with her head always in the future. A outsider with a vendetta against the perfect belle, and the perfect boyfriend. Well at least that is what it appears to be in the beginning. This story is full of twist and turns that you wont see coming. I have to admit I almost threw this into my do not finish pile and I am so glad I didn't. The first half of this book was slow and more like an average contemporary but after the halfway mark it really takes a turn for the better im so excited to pick up the rest of this series because the end of this book left me wanting, no needing, to find out how the three main charters are going to deal with their current situation. The charters are very well developed and this story-line/plot are like nothing i have ever read before.

Quotes From the Book:

“Bruce Wayne's parents get killed and he goes to Tibet or whatever, and Superman is an alien, and Spiderman had that radioactive spider. Me? I kissed a janitor in the school bathroom.”
― Rachel Hawkins, Rebel Belle

“just . . . I don’t like crying girls, okay?” We were quiet for a second while I took that in. “That was very nice of you, David,” I finally said. “Now hold on because I’m about to drive into a fence.” “Yeah, okay,” he muttered, his eyes still closed. “You do that.” Then his eyes shot open. “Wait, what?”
― Rachel Hawkins, Rebel Belle

“It was such a relief to be able to sob and have someone know all the reasons why.”
― Rachel Hawkins, Rebel Belle

My Lady JaneMy Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Well this is the best book I have read this year I love the way its narrated. The narration was so unlike anything i have ever read. This is a retelling of the history of Jane Grey the famous queen who had a rein of only nine days until the infamous Bloody Mary claimed the throne for her self. Only to find Jane quite literately missing her head. This book re-imagines what the history books say and adds a interesting twist by adding some magical elements to the tale. This book is told in three different perspectives, and takes you on a journey through growing up, trusting your gut and doing what is right. Although this is written by three separate Authors it is written beautifully and seamlessly. I am looking forward to more from these wonderful authors. I would recommend this book to everyone!! In my opinion its a must read.

Quotes from The book:
And for England. We’re really sorry for what we’re about to do to your history.”
― Cynthia Hand, My Lady Jane

“Who on earth could feel comfortable enough to sleep in a room with no books? Edward”
― Cynthia Hand, My Lady Jane

“Armies aren't very good about carrying libraries with them. I can't imagine why. We'd fight so much less if everyone would juste sit down and read”
― Cynthia Hand, My Lady Jane

Every Heart a Doorway (Every Heart a Doorway #1)Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Let me start off by saying when i picked this book up I went into it knowing only one thing, and that was that this is a book about the after math of going to an alternate universe. Let me just say that it was that and so much more. For this book to be as short as it was it literally blew me away. From the Writing to the plot and the character development. It was refreshing, new, and left me wanting more!

Quotes from the book::
“You're nobody's rainbow.
You're nobody's princess.
You're nobody's doorway but your own, and the only one who gets to tell you how your story ends is you.”
― Seanan McGuire, Every Heart a Doorway

“Because ‘boys will be boys’ is a self-fulfilling prophecy,” said Lundy. “They’re too loud, on the whole, to be easily misplaced or overlooked; when they disappear from the home, parents send search parties to dredge them out of swamps and drag them away from frog ponds. It’s not innate. It’s learned. But it protects them from the doors, keeps them safe at home. Call it irony, if you like, but we spend so much time waiting for our boys to stray that they never have the opportunity. We notice the silence of men. We depend upon the silence of women.”
― Seanan McGuire, Every Heart a Doorway
